Village Walk – Gamru to Indrunag Village
“The soul of India lives in its villages“ well said by Mr. Gandhi. Being in to tourism and being a naturalist i had got best of experience in to the villages while travelling. I must tell while on a travel trip one should must visit the local villages to understand local lifestyle, experience food and enjoy nature. Being a resident of Himalayas has visited our nearby villages for Hikes, Birding, weddings and other social festivals which is the heritage of our Mountains and I have a bucket of such heritage which I would love to share with travelers to our regions. Gamru Village to Indrunag Village Walk: Experience the mix of Tibetan refugee and native Gaddi residents.
*Our local guide will meet you at your hotel and we will walk/drive down to Gamru village and then by visiting Nechung Monastery and Tibetan refugee settlement our day will start and after we will pass through Gamru village walk down to Chiran Khadd ( stream) which will take about 30-40 min time while walking we will have a chat with local villager who are engaged with their daily routine. After Cirand Khadd we will hike to Indrunag village which is a native habitat of Gaddi Tribal People in this village Tea will be arranged with local family which will give us a chance to talk about their lifestyle etc. After meeting family and tea we will visit a Temple “Indrunag” which is situated a the top of the hill and we will have a magnificent 360 degree view of Dharamsala,Mcleodganj,Bhagsunag,Kotwali Bazar and Paragliding Take Off site after spending some time there we will walk down wards to Tau Tea Gardens which is planted during the British Era and a great habitat for resident Birds. After walking about 30 min we will reach to the main Road so there are options for lunch or we can take a public transport or your cab can pick you back to Hotel/Mcleodganj
